Possible Causes of premature triggering of the lights:
- There may be an obstruction in the center on the lens of the light, make sure there are no dirt or scuff marks over the center of the sensor.
- Incorrect Proximity setting for the application or drill. Make sure that the activation distance matches the requirement.
- The lights are being activated by a reflective surface when using the highest proximity setting.
*Examples of this would be the lights pointing towards a mirror, or white wall or towards the ceiling and receiving the Infra Red reflection back towards the light..
*
- When using outdoors, with the lights laying horizontally and pointing directly into the rays of the sun can trigger the light when the highest proximity is selected. Good practice is to use a lower proximity , and if the lights are on poles, position them so that the backs of the lights are facing the sun. Additionally , the sun filter on the settings can be enabled as required.
